Ozone Therapy in Thousand Oaks, CA

Ozone Therapy - Prism Dental Group, Thousand Oaks Dentist

What is Ozone?

Ozone is a powerful oxidant adopted in modern dentistry for its strong healing properties and natural health benefits. It’s a gas made from oxygen used to disinfect and eliminate bacteria, treat diseases, and strengthen the immune system. We’re proud to offer ozone therapy as part of COVID-19 protocol to ensure the utmost safety and precaution for our valued Thousand Oaks patients.

A Safe, Proactive Approach

Ozone therapy is a natural, effective way to disinfect and prevent common dental problems, like cavities and gum disease. It works by neutralizing your oral acidity and shifting pH levels for healthier teeth and gums. At Prism Dental Group, Dr. Siddappa has implemented ozone therapy as a method of treatment to reduce the presence of bacteria. Ozone therapy is also used to:

  • Eliminate bacteria, parasites, and fungi in your mouth
  • Prevent tooth decay and cavities by killing all bacteria
  • Reduce the condition of gum disease
  • Disinfect dental instruments for a clean, safe environment

New Safety Policies for COVID-19

As part of COVID-19 protocol, we’ve implemented ozone in our water lines and hypochlorous disinfecting fogging to effectively sanitize our tools, equipment, and office surfaces. Our practice features extra oral suction to reduce the suspension of tiny particles in the air, known as aerosols, such as dust, mists, or fumes. We also use ozone water to rinse both patients and staff, before and after entering our office to eliminate all bacteria. Dr. Siddappa and our entire dental staff take COVID-19 very seriously and will continue to provide nothing but high-quality care in a cleaner, safer environment.
